AppStore Wishlist
Create multiple Wishlists for apps from the AppStore ( + Price-Checker Shortcut)
Description
Because there is no native wishlist feature in the AppStore anymore, I created this shortcut:
What are the features?
-
Add apps using the share sheet
-
Multiple Wishlists (import, share, add, delete, rename)
-
uses iCloud Drive, so your wishlists are available on all of your iOS devices
-
additional "Price-Checker" shortcut, which compares price in your list with the current price and creates a price history
-
automatically asks you to download the "Price-Checker" shortcut
-
auto-update feature (requires the permission to read from my GitHub repository)
Latest Release Notes
2.1 - Oct. 25, 2019, 3:37 p.m.
Renamed Updater to Price-Checker

As a creator of another wishlist Shortcut, I get a bit jealous seeing other ones pop up. Once in a while I even download them and check them out to compare them. This is the first one that I'm actually super impressed with. I've only tested it briefly and added a single app but I noticed that if the user decides against downloading the updater, every time the Shortcut is run, it displays two alerts mentioning that it is not installed. Should only display these once.

Thanks for your feedback!
This might have been a bug, and should be fixed in the latest version. If you select „No, don’t remind me“ the message won’t show up again but you can download the „Updater“ in the settings, too!

Welcome to RoutineHub! FYI: I just tested your shortcut. For example, if I have added three entries and want to remove all of them, then the multiple delete does not work. Only one app will be removed from the list if I want to delete all three. Two remain available.

In addition, the title suggests that an updater is integrated. However, another shortcut has to be downloaded. Real embedded updaters are more like this:

The function to update the shortcut to the latest version is actually embedded. The „Updater“ shortcut which updates to app prices and checks if something has changed is an additional shortcut. I did this because I expected that you can schedule shortcuts with iOS 13.
It‘s indeed missleading, I‘m gonna try to write a better explanation.

That's what the other shortcut is for! That wasn't clear to me at all, because you were talking about "Update" in the title. The new info "Price Checker" is a much better explanation! Thanks!

Can you make it so that the shortcut shows the ‘price list’ on first tap. Assuming there is only one default list. I think that would be better. Otherwise the shortcut works fantastically.
